This is something totally new on the UK blues scene. Something for all of us who love to play the greatest music the world has ever known.

• Do you find it difficult to get your music listened to above the hordes of tribute bands that have flooded the UK over the past few years?

• Have you noticed how many good venues have disappeared recently at the hands of large PLC's

• Are you unsure where to turn next to get your music out into the world.

There is a lot of excellent blues happening in the UK at the present time and there must be a lot of us out there in bands facing exactly the same problems, but until now there has been nowhere where we can pool our shared knowledge. Nowhere where we can get together and show the world that British Blues is alive and kicking.

This is what UK Live Blues is all about.

This is obviously a big task so to set the ball rolling I intend to start with a UK Blues Band listing. What I want you to do is to let me know about your band (or indeed about yourself if you are a solo performer). Tell me about yourselves - where you are from - the type of places you are playing - what your line up is - do you have representation - do you have any albums out - are you signed to a record company - where can you be contacted - do you have a website (if not I can offer a very good site design service) - in fact anything that you can think of to tell the world about your band - send me all these details and a photograph of yourselves and I will include you in the register free of charge. In return I ask only two things:

1- If you have a website I ask that you include the following banner on your index page with a link to this site.

2 - If you have a links page on your site, that you insert a link to my band's site at: http://listen.to/divorcedfromreality

Of course this is only a start, to build a strong UK Blues presence on the web is no small task and there are many ways that we can use the site to promote the great blues that are coming out of the UK Blues scene today. If you have any ideas let me know.
